First, let me say, NO ONE is more surprised I am writing this post than I am. I will readily admit I was something of a snob when it came to the idea of a “comfort shoe”. There was no way a comfort shoe could by stylish in my mind.
But here’s what happened.
I was at Nordstrom Rack a few weeks ago and a badass black patent heel caught my attention. It looked like this:

I tried them on without looking at the brand – which is weird for me – and I thought they were a Michael Kors shoe. Not a hard leap to make at Nordstrom Rack. I had tried on a VERY similar pair at the Michael Kors boutique in Las Vegas a few months prior and thought maybe I was about to score a great deal on a pair right now.
But these were different. These were… wait … these were COMFORTABLE.
Then I looked at the box. They were Sofft! And then I passed out.
Full confession: I’ve bought two more pairs since then.
Thanks to an ongoing, ridiculously uncooperative back problem I’ve not been able to really wear heels for about a year. I’ve been a flats girl – which is fine, but not at all interesting. But THESE. THESE, my friends, I can WEAR.
And I did – out to dinner. I wore heels for three hours and nothing hurts. It’s like they are made of fairy dust and unicorns. I also got compliments on them.
Are all comfort shoes good looking? No. Can you find some that are? Yes. Here are a few I liked from the picture up above:

Hurray for you. I have two pair of Sofft and two pair of AeroSoles (I know!) and they are all wonderfully comfortable and beautiful. I can walk all day, any distance in them. By far my favorite heals.

Oh, I bought my first Sofft at the Rack, too. And I, too, thought they were Kors. Great minds and all that.

Bad-ass can be comfortable too! Who knew? I have a pair too.
