Friday Collections

January 6, 2012

Well, we made it! The first almost full week of 2012 and here it is: The first Friday of 2012. Well done, everybody. Take next week off.

(Wouldn’t that be great?)

It’s taken me almost all week to not only get in the swing of things, but also just figure out what day it is. Anyone else feel like that this week? It was an interesting feeling – not really knowing. I’m not sure it wasn’t more fun. After all, I never knew it was Wednesday (hump day) – usually the longest day of the week for me. Maybe throwing out the calendar would be fun for a month.

(Or not.)

It’s January which means it’s time to talk about spring, right? At least that’s what the retailers want to talk about. I’m having a hard time focusing on spring – we’ve not really had WINTER here. (Today it’s going to be 74 and humid – this is awful.) But I’ll admit I am getting seduced by the idea of a fresh change and new colors.

It may be the whole “new year” itch, but I am seriously considering chopping bangs again. It may have been Audrey’s picture that pushed me over the edge. Such a powerful eye.

I’ve never been a “grey” girl, but this bright office from Centsational Girl completely changed my mind. And now I want to paint my office.

And then there is the matter of color. Huge neon pops of it. Sass & Bide have nailed it for Spring/Summer 2012 – I’m pretty sure I’ll be replicating this look somewhere in the spring. Look at that yellow necklace!

Oh! Forgot to tell you guys! If you want to see what I’m currently obsessing over as I window shop around the internet throughout the week, you can “stalk” me at CurrentlyObsessed. You can find your other favorite style bloggers over there as well – come see!

How great is this idea from Country Living? Use your stamps on sugar cookies for an extra decorative touch?

Hope this week was kind to you – and that 2012 has started off with a roar. Have a great weekend everyone – we’ll see you back here Monday. xo
