Friday Collections

October 14, 2011

This week has been not at all focused – except in one area: pain. Thanks to time marching on I have spent the better part of the week trying to keep myself from ripping my right leg off at the hip thanks to a fight with the ever-non-chic bursitis.

My apologies for the light posting this week.

Here are some things that caught my eye as I was eating bon-bons rehabbing and resting…

I love high heels like I love pizza, and I’m missing them terribly, but I do not love what they do to feet and backs in general as evidenced with this x-ray of a woman wearing heels. Ouch – even in exquisite Gucci’s.

I have an old friend doing some really interesting art that focuses on jeans – and the stories and experiences the owner has in them. I finally got a chance to see some of his work online – and this is my favorite piece. Go see Adam Nisenson’s other work here. Buy some. And tell him hello.

Who’s gone to Italy and has a picture of the Leaning Tower of Pisa? Get that picture and frame it like this. It tickles me endlessly.

See this chocolate pie? It’s tofu. Not kidding. And I cannot wait to try out this recipe from Chocolate Covered Katie.

Have a great weekend, everyone – we’ll see you back here on Monday. xo

I hope you are better REAL QUICK soon. I have nominated myself to officially taste the chocolate pie when it is finished. I’ll even clean the dishes. I love you beautiful niece.
