Ultimate Closet Challenge – 15:30 – Let's Catch Up + Bonus Shot!

September 24, 2010

SMARTS, STYLE

Okay! Let’s catch up! Here is what I’ve been up to the past week. I’ll spare you the boring shorts and t-shirt pictures. Since we spoke last I’ve had to go to Yom Kippur services and go to Austin for some real-job work. Here is what I wore. Oh, also, I cheated again – but I had GOOD reason and you’ll see why in a moment.

Day 17: Yom Kippur Evening Services

15in30 Day 17

Dress: Maggie London (pockets!)
Shoes: Coach (remind me to show you the badass corset lacing on the back of them)
Bag: MCM

But here is my most favorite girl accessory: Leah! Everyone say hello! She picked out the outfit all by herself. She’s a keeper, that one.

Leah 15in30 Day 17

Dress: Justice (duh, she’s 9 and totally obsessed)
Boots: Jessica Simpson
Smile: All her own

Day 20: Off to Austin!

15in30 Day 20

Shirt: Urban Outfitters
Jeans: Abercrombie & Fitch
Boots: Vero Cuoio (a Marshall’s find 6 years ago). I love that they’re a combo riding/cowboy boot.
Watch: Kenneth Cole men’s

Day 21: Austin Day 2

15in30 Day 21

Sorry for the iPhone quality picture. I didn’t bring my real camera with me.

Shirt: Banana Republic
Pants: Banana Republic
Belt: Michael Kors
Shoes: Franco Sarto for Nordstrom (you can’t see them, but they are leopard flats)
Bracelet: Gift

Day 22: Austin Day 3 and MORE CHEATING!

15in30 Day 22

So, yes. That shirt is not part of the 15 chosen. I had originally packed my silky grey t-shirt to wear. However, when I put it on and looked in the mirror I noticed that it was AWFULLY SHEER. Like, I could see my nude bra sheer. And then I wondered if it has ALWAYS been this sheer? Because if so I am immediately and terrifically MORTIFIED that I have worn it to a FUNERAL and TEMPLE in the past two weeks and HOW DID I NOT NOTICE THIS IS SO SHEER?! Well, I wasn’t going to wear it to the OFFICE like that, so off to the Nordstrom Rack around the corner from the hotel I was staying in I went.

I was, however, relatively thoughtful about my new purchase and made sure it was something I would wear endlessly (it is) and I like it very much.

So, yeah. Cheating, but better than NUDITY at the office.

Shirt: jaloux
Pants: Banana Republic
Shoes: Target (not kidding)
Belt: Michael Kors

And now we’re all caught up!

Hahaha nudity :) Yeah I have issues with the sheerness of some of my tops. I recently bought a nude cami type thing for just that reason…but it is not great in toasty weather and kind of defeats the cool breezy purpose of the sheerness!

That Leah has got serious style.

She’s not a bad little photographer in a pinch either. :)

I say we just get the temperature to drop low enough that sheer issues are banished by sweater-y fabrics!

Cute on all accounts. I’m skeptical about patterns, but I adore the pattern of that dress. I haven’t known you long, but I can’t say I’m shocked that you found a reason to return to Nordstrom 😉
