All hail, Mr. Choo, Master of the woman’s foot.

It took me a few times of looking at actual examples of these cage sandals on to really fall in love with them, but I completely am. They are just so interesting visually. I love them with almost all above the knee skirts — kicky, straight, pencil. And while I can’t have the Choos a la Carrie Bradshaw, I’m absolutely getting one of these others.

So. Let’s look at some more realistic options!

Not a bad alternative? For 1/7th the cost. I like it already. With pretty feminine lines you get the cage trend with a little bit of delicate added in. A great option.

These lovelies from Joan and David are a little less delicate, but a bit more substantial and wearable. Also? A lower heel with a bit more width to offer some stability. I like that these can go casual and dressy to an extent.

These are just badass. These are my favorite in wearability. There is something less “cagey” but really powerful about these and I want them immediately. Again, they have a better heel and heel height — and really? I want to wear them and not have my back or feet hurt at the end of the event or day.

So are you a fan of the cage? Will you be rocking a pair of these shoes in the warm seasons?

Dude, those Jimmy Choos are A-MAZ-ING! I only like this style with a heel. (Short people cannot do that show in a flat version!) I really like the third option and have one similiar in brown from Stuart Weitzman. They have a little platform to them so I can wear them ALL day long and back is not terribly mad at me later.
