Grinnin’ like the Cheshire Cat

January 4, 2007

Folks, I have made decisions in 2007. Not resolutions, decisions. Decisions are much more permanent, yes? And, on Day Four of 2007 I have freaked Husband right the hell out. Let’s just say that the phrase, “Who are you and what have you done with my wife?” has been uttered many, many times. (In a good way.)

See? The power of decisions.

That one decision aside, I’m working on a few others. I’ve categorized them accordingly:

But, I can’t quite figure out which ones to conquer next. And there has to be a “next” then a “third” ‘cause I’m structured like that and if you don’t watch out I’m gonna make a list that at some point I will misplace.

Perhaps I should add “Organize” as a sub-category under “Self”. Yep. Definitely.

I will tell you that under “Adventure”, things are also underway. Remember when I talked about how interesting it might be to go back to summer camp? Well, we’re doing it. Only it’s for a weekend. In March. And it’s the family going. And my braces are off and I’m not in college. But still! Camp! I’ve signed us up for a Family Retreat Weekend at the camp I used to go to – and have sent numerous children to through the years. I have no idea what we’re in for, but I know it will be fun and perhaps satisfy some decisions in the “Knowledge” category as well!

Which cryptically leaves Financial. Yes. That’s a biggee. A Big Biggee. This won’t be solved in 2007, but by G-d it’s gonna get a big honkin’ dent. ‘Cause I want a new kitchen. A pretty, sparkly and not at all 1988 kitchen. And I want it kinda soonish.

So, that’s all. It’s Swimmy Carpool time and so I’m off to sit in a 30 minute line amongst 957 SUVs whose exhaust pipe comes up to my driver’s side window.

Okay. I kinda want one of those, too.

Ugh, I hate SUV’s for that same reason!!
But I LOVE, LOVE summer camp and I am so jealous of your weekend in March!
Continue on with the new “decisions”. Improvement is always fun, okay, maybe not always.

Interesting concept. If they don’t work, at least you can say you did not violate any resolutions. lol So, good luck, and I hope to hear at the end of the year how well you did!!! 🙂
