Yes, Phase #4759251 of the Great Room Rotation 2006 is now complete. Told ya it was pink. We’re missing a few “finishing touches”, but you get the picture.
The Swimmy has officially taken possession of “The Pink Room” and I am now back to moving other assorted furniture items around the other two bedrooms to make room for Phase #4759252 to begin: Otherwise known as “Wiggly’s Room”.
Now that The Swimmy has vacated her previous palace, I can get in there and start the process all over again. Vacuum areas that haven’t seen daylight in 2 years, clean the baseboards, begin the taping off process, and take a nap.
I’ve hit a hitch, though, with my evil plan: The wallpaper. I thought we’d just be able to superglue down some errant seams, grab a can of Kilz to base coat it, and paint away. (I watch a lot of HGTV, can you tell?) But, I think the wallpaper is in worse shape than I thought, and I’m thinking I’m about to invite a very talented, but smoky-smelling man into my home to help do this part of the project. And this? aggravates me a little bit. I really didn’t want to have to deal with “professionals” on this, but alas, I’ve hit my talent wall.
And so, to make myself feel better, I put the crib linens on. Four months early. (This is freaking Husband out just a bit.) But, how cute is this? And it’s totally helping me start to “think Boy”.
(That’s my story and I’m stickin’ with it.)
(Oh, and did I mention my 6th trip to Pottery Barn Kids? Yeah, there’s that, too. I finally made up my mind which means I only have one MORE trip to PBK to do the final exchanges. And? Maybe? Look at some accessories. Or? Run screaming from the store.)
(Am completely out of control.)
(Do you think it’s possible to do an entire entry with afterthoughts shoved in parentheses?)
