You remember? You spin the bottle and hope it lands on the boy (or girl) that you thought was totally “fine” and then started calculating Junior High odds once the bottle started to slow down?
Well, that’s kinda what’s goin’ on with that bitch, Rita.
It’s total gridlock in Houston and my family can’t get out right now. The DOT is rightfully changing all the highways to go OUT in both directions so it will ease up, but it’s gonna take awhile. In the meantime, they have to wait to see if the storm continues to move north and east — that would be great as Houston would not be hit so badly.
Really, and no offense to those of you who lost everything in New Orleans, the best case scenario right now would be for it to go right up to New Orleans. There’s hardly anyone there, it’s already damaged, the risk of casualties is low. You don’t want to wish bad things on anyone, but, man COME ON. MMMMMOOOOOOOVVVVVEEEEEEE.
On a happier note, the Swimmy is enjoying hanging out with her cousins. She kinda knows what’s going on with the storm as she was apparently paying attention to the radio in the FIVE AND HALF HOUR car trip yesterday. (We alternated between AM radio and Princess songs)
Thanks to all of you who have left comments and sent emails with kind words. They do help and are appreciated.
